Watercolour paint and pencils today. This is a little corner of Mousehole, a fishing village way down on the end of Cornwall not far from Penzance.
‘Home to Roost’, another of the miniatures, this time in watercolour and ink.
Padstow Harbour on the Camel estuary in Cornwall.
Mevagissey Morning. Mevagissey on the South coast of Cornwall, a wonderful old fishing village steeped in the tales of smugglers. I love the houses stacked up like seats in a theatre. They all have a good view of the action taking place in the harbour.
Today it is Polperro, a little fishing village on the Cornish south coast. The houses cling to the sides of the valley and tight winding lanes lead down to the harbour.
Fabulous Fowey, this is in watercolour, watercolour pencil and a wax resist. We lived in Fowey for a few short months, it is a beautiful little town. Twisting lanes of houses built on the side of the river, everywhere seems to have a fantastic view.
Today it is Port Isaac Rooftops. As you work your way down to the harbour the narrow lanes give you little glimpses of the village.
This is ‘High Tide’, it is painted in watercolour and ink. It is a humorous look at a day trip to the seaside. I have added four close-ups because there is a lot of small detail.
Today it is a watercolour of Coverack on the South coast of Cornwall, near the Lizard.
Today it is an acrylic painting from a while back when I was doing some experimenting with textures.
